I was wondering if you guys could help me out w/ fishing Catalina for seabass and yellowtail. Fishing the island tonight on our own boat 21.5 Cabo w/ a Cuddy Cabin. Havent been out there this season on our own boat over night. Just wonder where we should start off at tonight, how deep to set up at, front side or back side, east end or west end ect.... Any help will be appricatated. I will post pix tomorrow evening when i get back. Not really asking for your key spots. Just wanting to know of some areas. thanks guys......

Long point to West end - Three B's pretty Wide some small yellow in there too.
West Cove to Ironbound some WSB on fin bait.
Bigger units were at Ben Weston China Pt.
All the usual haunts down east, V's etc..

Toro has 18 seabass and a few yellows today. Tony on the MarDiosa has already called in with limits (27) of seabass for passengers and crew. It's all on the back. Get your live squid first by hailing a light boat selling squid on channel 11 and then look for the traffic. It's biting good in several areas. Look for boats that are bent...

One piece of advice though...you need a custom 900L if you really want to catch them....

Good luck Aaron
