how about this: if you are going out for a certain species, make sure you know the regs for that species and throw back anything that is not what you are fishing for......OR......give it time and eventually you will remember them all. the majority of us catch yellows, albies, bonito, halibut, calico, and lingcods. we all catch a bunch of other crap but 90% of the catches ive seen are these 6 fish. so what i would do is make a 6 fish cheat sheet on your own, maybe 10 minutes of time, and by time you are done looking at all the numbers and regs while you put it together, you might not even need it.
most important is making sure what way to measure certain fish.
holy crap, dont forget about white seabass too and sheepheads

| On Oceanside pier there is a small fishing shop where they rent gear. You can buy a 30" or so sticker for like $3 that shows lots of the common fish and the size requirements. I got one and stuck it to the inside of my boats transom. Makes it easy to measure and know right away if it’s a keeper. As for bag limit I've been meaning to take a marker to the sticker and write that in. I'm sure you can get the same sticker at lots of fishign stores. |

I bought that one but it doesn't have the size for garibaldi- I let all the little ones go, though- Well, I do keep one or two for bait, the 12" lings gobble them up
