Selling Cheap as I am ready to buy my new boat $9300

1995 hull, 1997 motor

I hate to let this go, but its time for me to upgrade to a bigger boat. This was the first boat I bought and I took extremely good care of it. Its super clean, in and out. It is a FULL walk around in which you can battle your fish all around the boat without having to worry to fall over. Once youre tired, you can take a nap inside of the very very clean cuddy cabin. The boat is most fuel efficient at around 23 knots fully loaded. She gets about 2 mpg around fully loaded at 23 knots. She can go faster than that if youd like, but you would just be burning more fuel. The deck space is very open and has plenty of room for 4 fisherman or 8 on a harbor cruise. It has lots of storage spaces which do not take up the precious real estate of the deck and cuddy. The bait tank is a custom 45 gallon Offshore bait tank that holds 2.5 scoop of bait with a custom window and LIGHT. The window helps you keep track of your bait in terms of how much you have left and also make sure that they are lively. The light helps them not bump into each other during night travel. It has a 90 gallon fuel tank and is very fuel efficient. The engine is a 130 hp, 2 stroke Johnson. Very very reliable. The boat is actually a Marlin. That company bought the cabo mold in 1990. For anyone who knows the cabo 216, its a very very nice boat.

Hey guys,
Obviously I love to fish, and this Summer I will definately be looking for a job because I will be of age.

To make a long story short, I love fishing, I love doing any work that involves boats, the ocean, or fishing, and I would like to make enough cash to be able to drive from Anaheim to the job and have a small amount of money left over.

PM me if you are interested and I will give you some of my info.

Im trying to read DFG's regs as closely as possible but i still have some questions. Rockfish is closed on the 15, so I read that means there is a zero bag limit. Can I still fish the shallow water (less than 30 feet) ling's and rockfish as catch and release only. I just wanna still be able to have fun out there and I have absolutely no problem releasing. And furthermore if having the intent of fishing for rockfish in closed season is illegal, could i just say im fishing for halibut or something around the rockpiles. I have 4 days off in the pismo area coming up and really want to get out on the kayak.

Wow! This is sad. I believe that I have found my true calling. This opens a whole new chapter for Californians and fisherman alike. We cannot, and will not, give in to their politics and shoveling that is occurring. We elected the officials that are governing our wonderful state and have an obligation to fulfill our duty to provide our kids and fellow fisherman the right to reap what god has provided for us. I am not a great fisherman nor have I even been out on a 1/2, 3/4 or long range trip in recent months. It has been a year and a half since I went on a charter boat. I do fish local spots and enjoy the times when people ask me, “Have you caught anything? How's the fishing?" Sometimes I answer positively; sometimes I answer "NEGATIVE GHOST RIDER!" That is fishing. That is what makes us fisherman. That is what makes us an American. We don't give up and we don't give in. We stay the course and win we do. So let us rally and come together even more. LET'S WIN THIS THING!!!!! DON'T GIVE UP.....” WE’LL BE BACK”

OK talked my wife into going buggin (her fist time).

In Mission around 8:00 pm.

I just relocated and dropped 5 hoops (about 11:00pm 10/16/09 tide was going out) and moved away to let them soak. After about 10mins my wife noticed that the the boat that we thought was anchored wasnt and was now over my net that was 15' from the rocks.

We drove up to him yelling that he was over one of our nets (i use a milk jug with a flashing LED glow stick so its noticeable). So what does he do before i could get my net.......starts the motor and drives off .....with my rig wrapping around one of his props. He gets about 40' driving over other peeps nets (some not lit(i hate that too)) and stops. Im yelling at him, ( we are in my 14' valcor and he is in his 25' $$$boat) we get up next to his boat and he says to me "I dont want to get wet" (Dude looked and sounded drunk). I was trying to keep my cool so is not to upset my wife (Very Hard). I told the guy to lift his prop and i started on the bird nest of rope from my new net and the guy took off to a lower deck.

Around 5-10 min and a twisted cut line later, i retrieved my rig. I yelled at the guy that it was out of the prop and that he should be more careful. a minute later he came up and said thx. Not a Im very sorry! I was an idiot for just drifting drunk while below deck, you total saved my boat from grinding on the rocks. Please take this 12 pack cuz i dont need anymore.

We hooped for a few more hours and went back in. Only had about 5 shorts so no bugs for her.

Im new at the fishing/hoopin thing, just started this year. Does this happen often?

Thanks for the vent,
Later
