Santee Lakes Cable Board Park could soon become a reality for Southern California. With the support of the water sports community, you will soon be able to ride around Lake 1 in Santee Lakes, hitting kickers and sliders at your leisure.

Along with a state-of-the-art cable system, unbelievable obstacles and the latest equipment in wakeboarding and water skiing, Santee Lakes Cable Park will feature approximately 5000 square feet of observation decking for spectators, an outdoor seasonal BBQ and a 2700-square-foot restaurant. A pro shop to buy and rent the best equipment, spacious changing rooms and lockers will also be on hand. There's even a rumor of a Jacuzzi. Santee Lakes Cable Park will be a place you can spend the day with your family, enjoying all Santee Lakes has to offer.

Please join us for a "Supporters Meeting" on Wednesday, October 10th, 2007 at Jimmy's Restaurant in Santee at 6:00 pm. Receive a free ride pass just for showing up! Learn more about the proposed park, ask questions, watch great videos, and learn how to further support Santee Lakes Cable Park.

I'll try and make it. Last I checked that water though, I'm not to thrilled about jumping in it. Duck shit everywhere, shallow H20, can't be good....

I am sure they will do something to keep it clean, especially with all those people in there. With that thing whipping all over the pond and tons of wake, you can bet there will be no ducks ont hat pond.
It would be awesome to get off work and go wakeboarding for an hour. Or even at lunch.

No boat launching, dealing with launch fee's, limited days and times to wake board and so on.

How clean do you really think Mission Bay is?

Have you looked at the water? Drop a nickle and you wont see it after three inches. The water quality issue is the one thing I'm SURE they are going to address.

Mission bay at least has tidal flow in and out twice a day to a big blue ocean. I'm not saying its Tahoe lake or anything, it IS polluted, but .... Where is the Santee lakes water being exchanged / renewed on any basis?

I agree with you. No launch, no boat cleaning, no waiting in line at SV, etc. Plus it'll do a lot for the sport. Gets some necks in the water kidding...

Um, Arnie, I'd have to disagree. FL wakeboard scene is not on a little square 12' deep cable park. But I do hope there aren't any gators around
