Best of the West Seminar - August 8th, 2007

NEW 2007 ProAm Fishing Seminar presented by the McMonigle Group and the California Billfish Series

August 8, 2007 – Dana Point, CA

Working towards our goal of uniting the fishing community and promoting the sport, CBS has created a unique, intimate format fishing seminar with the cooperation of top captains and crews.

Not only will you hear the knowledge of local legends but learn first hand, on-board some of the West’s best sportfishing Machines.

Step aboard the “Bad Company” with Capt. Steve Lassley, Pete Groesbeck and Jimmy Kingsmill. Walk through the “Chiqelin” with Captain Mike Hurt or direct your questions to Capt. Billy Miyagawa on board the “Gambler”. Local owner/operator Chuck Wilson will also be there offering his team’s successful strategies on board “Fire Hatt” and other high profile Captain’s will be on-site to help answer questions as well.

Many of the California Billfish Series sponsors will be on site as well. Riviera, EPYC, Pompanette, Berkley, Fishworks and more will be there with products and information.

The Best of the West Seminar will be held on August 8th, 2007 at the Dana Point Yacht Club. The event will be held in two four-hour sessions. The first group will start at 12:00 pm with on-board discussions and seminars, followed up with one-on-one Q&A. Dinner for both groups will be served from 4:30 to 5:30 and the second session will promptly follow. Topics covered will include bait making and keeping, pre-fishing tactics, tackle rigging, using circle hooks, glassing and much, much more.

This special event is being limited to 120 participants (2 sessions, 60 per session). This event is FREE to every new team fishing the 2007 Avalon Billfish Classic. Each new ABC ProAm team with paid entry by August 5th will receive 6 Free ProAm seminar tickets. The teams will also receive seminar kits with Berkley fishing products, including a few EAL lures along with priceless words of knowledge you cannot get anywhere else. Additional seminar tickets are available to Catalina Classic and Zane Grey participants.
