Garmin 2010c GPS Chartploter / FF Combo Units

Looking to upgrade to a Garmin 2010C chartplotter from a 168 (Tired of looking at a 4.5inch screen). I am thinking of getting the GSD 20 Black box sounder as well with the airmar through hull 'ducer. Does anyone have any opinion on the Garmin Black Box sounder??? I have a Furuno 600L currently but that unit is going with my boat when I sell it. I only had a transom mount transducer with that one, but it was a good unit. I like the idea of a very clean electronic dash with a big screen combo unit. Thanks for the input.

Those are nice. I'm still not sure why I switched to the Raymarine combo in the C80. Partly due to the daylight visibility of the screen, supposed to be the best. The all digital fish finder was another. I also like the overlay of radar over the GPS. I hear Garmin is going to do radar soon. The c80 also fits in my little dash notch on the stripper.

I was at west marine the other day looking at the 3010....the sales guy was telling me about some new features coming out. look at what they are before deciding on the 2010....plus if you still decide to go with the 2010 it will probably come down in price when the 3010 with the new features comes out...

Thanks for the good advice. The 3010c is a very similar unit....main difference is that it accepts 2 video inputs as well it provides built in support for their new Garmin Radar for and added $400. For me the jury is still out on the new Garmin Radar....both the 2KW and the 4KW radomes were the same size, and both were enormous!!! (easily half again as big as the same Furuno or Raymarine 4KW dome) Not sure they would fit on a walk-around or CC...it would take all of the hard-top or t-top space. I figure I save the $400 and apply it to something I need more.

I have the 2010 chartplotter and it is the SHIT.I dont use the fishfinder part of it and most likey wouldnt and never will.I dont like one display for all my electronics and Furuno for a sounder cannot be beat. The 3010 is nice if you have cameras in the engine room and i cant speak about there radars at this time.

The 3010 has been out for over 6 months allready so you better snatch up any remaining 2010.I bought mine last Sept and got mine for 1500 bucks. It has real time tide charts for every bouy worldwide, real time celestrial information and many other features at the touch of a button.

Like i said though if you have room for individual componets I would stick with that route.

Don't know about the FF, but I got a 182 and love it. So user friendly I'm sure 2010 is the same.

But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag...
