Question Anyone using the SPOT gps position tracker?

Anyone using this product? I'm looking for some 'on-the-water' product reviews.

Have had mine for a couple on months now and have been out with it 4 times.
My wife likes getting OK messages when I am offshore.
Good product and easy to setup online

My son won one at the Shoot Out on 6/22. I signed-up for the service and am very pleased to have it. Also have a friend who is going to get one for emergencies on the Colorado River where there is no cell phone service. Should be perfect for him, and for back-up to VHF and Cell for me. As noted above, I can also let my wife know we're ok from time to time when we're on the salty brine.

Mike thanks for the link, never heard of this system. Sometimes I feel like a mushroom stuck in a dark room.

Sounds great. I just ordered one after reading this post. Amazon seems to have the best price at $134.46 and free shipping.
