That is really cool, but that marlin they used to make the mold must smell horrible by the time they're done...

hmm...i thought a 1805lb blue was caught in hawaiin waters and was record. maybe it didnt qualify under IGFA rules to be World record

I thought I read somewhere that they now can do molds with out actually having the fish. I suppose with a record fish you would want it to be exact. But, with computers and all, they can get a good scale of the fish if there is a good set of pictures.

yes they can. but it will never be THAT detailed. if you have the opportunity to examine a 'cpr' mount vs a hand laid mount it's night and day.
