Geez, its been like 20 years since the last time I saw you.
We could have taken you out on the water fishing when you were around in Negra.
Next time for sure, you better call/ email me.

Adam,
I am arriving in Costa next week. I am staying at
Peninsula Papagayo, Costa Rica

How far is that from where your at. If that is to far. Can you suggest anyone in that area that fishes offshore for Dorado, Wahoo, and mostly Tuna? I would like to book all day offshore trip.

Thanks in advance

Hey Guys,

Im located in Tamarindo to the south of where you are staying
Its about 1 hour & 15 minutes drive from Peninsula Papagayo, and about 1 hour from Playa Hermosa.

I want to mention that the "Drop Off" is only about 10 miles off Tamarindo for Offshore Fishing. If you were to run from Playa Hermosa or Papagayo area to go to the Offshore Grounds, its about 30 plus Miles to the Drop Off. We are very close to the Continental Shelve drop and closer to the deep water action. And we usually have the whole ocean to ourselves, I usually find our own action and barely have any other boats around. If you can handle the taxi drive down for an hour, then its worth it. I would love to have you guys on the boat.

The Papagayo area does have good action for Wahoo and Roosters inshore, but if you want Marlin and Sails your gonna have to take a boat ride out alot farther.

I have a very fast 31 Ocean Master, so it takes barely any time at all to run offshore.. and we have more fishing time on the water because of it. Plus I really like to get out deep and find Porpoise schools with Tuna!

You can check my website at: crgamefish.com
Its got lots of info in there for you guys to check out.

Hey Ted
Well, fishing really slowed down here in the last week, having to go far offshore & to the south to find billfish. To be serious, its been tough to find any sails that want to bite offshore. Some cooler water moved in and its spread out over a wide area. Inshore has been better, the local reef has been going off for football sized Yellowfin Tuna schooloing around.. Been some nice size roosters inshore too. Some nice sized Pargo on jigs, and an occassional nice Black Marlin off the reef too if you get lucky.
I will let you know when things turn on offshore.. Should be some good billfish action here in the next months to come.
