Bayano snook season opening: what a start!

Hi snook season in Río Bayano traditionally begins with dry season, first day on the water rewarded me with a nice 25 pound black snook, some other medium size snook and mangrove snapper were landed for a remarkable day, also a small tarpon on fly rounded off the day, hope you enjoy, Manuel.

Are black snook found in the Atlantic/Caribbean side or strictly in the Pacific?

Larry,

rio Bayano is located in the pacific side hence black snook is inherent to Pacific, since I caught a tarpon on fly it might fool you but it is usual to catch them in this river since they travel through the Panama Canal to the Pacific side and took residence in this river.
