Join Me In Panama

I'm hosting a trip on the mothership M/V Coral Star March 15 to 20, 2008 and was just told there are some spots remaining. I always select the best week for moon phase and tides for the best results. Those of you who have been waiting to fish Panama-now is a great opportunity, especially if this is your first trip because you can stick with me from beginning to end and I'll show you the best of Panama. We fish on 28' Albermarles and 26' Pursuits and return to the comfort of the mothership at sunset. The Coiba Island region offers everything from cow yellowfin tuna, black marlin and other pelagics to some of the best popping and deep jigging in the world for roosterfish, cubera snapper, amberjack and others. These fish are not wimps-they are big, mature models that will test you and your tackle every day. I will also bring extra lures for you and talk about tackle rigging and other topics during the week of fishing. These trips are well suited for both men, women and children!

If you're interested you can contact Sherri Wilson at 866-924-2837 (toll free) or sherri@coralstar.com. I'm also available anytime to walk you through this kind of trip such as what to bring and what to expect.

Re: Join Me In Panama

The costs vary depending on how many per boat, etc. but you can count on about $4,000 for the week of fishing. Sherri at the Coral Star has the details. Also: Sport Fishing in Panama

Re: Join Me In Panama

Tony,

Sounds great. Thanks for the information. Winter/spring 2008 just won't work, but next year (2009) is much more doable. What trips do you have for Jan-March 2009?

Thanks

Re: Join Me In Panama

Hi Merle,

I haven't planned '09 yet but you can probably count on a couple of prime-time trips to Panama then. Maybe we can fish together at that time.

Re: Join Me In Panama

Sounds interesting. I just sent a request in to them. Any idea how much the transportation would be from LAX? Thanks, Mike W.

Re: Join Me In Panama

Out of LAX there is a non-stop flight to Panama City via COPA Airlines. I fly San Diego/Houston/Panama City on Continental and the price varies from about $550 to $700 depending on when you get your tickets (earlier the better but on some of my trips I get a real late notice to come on down). Since the trip we're talking about isn't until March you should be able to get a real low price.
