Costa Rica The Zancudo report

I am new to the forum. I live in San Francisco where I use to fish for salmon and tuna. My wife and I with a few our friends purchased the lodge this past October. If you ever have any questions please contact me at 800-854-8791

Right now its the slow season but fishing is still good. Last weekend I hook up with a nice 286lb blue marlin which died during the fight.(we tag and release all billfish) I think it feed half the town. We also caught a bunch of dorado's and a small tuna. Speaking of tuna our boats have been locating large schools of yellowfin and bigeye tuna over the past few weeks. We are landing many 30-40lbers. There are big fish mixed in the schools but getting one to bite has been difficult.

Inshore fishing is also very good large roosters to 45lb snappers and last week we caught a 140lb jewfish.

I will try to give weekly updates. September-November it is very slow so if a miss a few week it means no one is fishing.
Gregg
