Fishing Guanacaste Costa Rica

Hi All!
I'm headed to Guanacaste CR July 19th through the 27th, looking for someone that will be there at the same time and is interested in sharing the cost of a charter for 2 or 3 days. Also if you have any info good or bad about fishing with the local charters let me know. I would love to find a local fisherman who can take me out and knows the area. Thanks!! Rich

First off let tell you how lucky you are to be going to guanacaste. One of my favorite of all time. We made our offshore fishing through The villa del sueno hotel. Offshore was about 800.00 per day. The fishing was so good that i think any of the pangas could have found fish. We had just as much fun shore fishing for roosters and pargo. we fished from Coco Beach up to the 4 seasons resort and as many little coves and beaches that we could along the way. Bring alot of crocadiles, mega baits etc. we also made live bait with sabikis. I personally had 5 roosters over 15lbs and at least that many that i never saw(bring lots of fishing line as what they have in town is crap and very expensive) I was using a newell 229 and a abu 6500 with 15 and 20. Wish i had 30. Good luck Bugman

Check out Billfish Safari's out of Flamingo.... excellent boat, excellent crew. Here's a couple of videos that shows what you can expect fishing with them and fishing that area of Costa Rica.

EPISODE ONE
EPISODE TWO

You'll have a great time regardless of who you charter with.
