Talking Tamarindo, C.R. - July 8th

Well, we have been fishing alot here lately and everyday its been something different either Inshore or Offshore- its what keeps you on the edge of your seat around here not knowing what the fishing is like the next day out.

(1st) Report for the 6th of July
Had fellow Bloodydecks member "Weather or Not" Brandon out on the boat today- what a character and funny guy. Fished all over the world, running from one place to the next- trolling offshore, running around outside looking for porpoise schools, to dropping baits on the inshore reef. Slow day and ended up Releasing one Sailfish in about 260ft. of water, and had another Sail hit one of our baits in 150ft. of water. Sails seem to be more closer to the beach today, and none seen offshore. No luck dropping Bonito to the bottom in the afternoon, just some smaller fish biting on em.. Water condition were pretty bumby in the morning with a slight breeze and thunderstorm sitting offshore. Brandon was a great to have onboard, great spirited by far.. Will try and post some photos when he gets back to the states soon.

(2nd) Report for the 8th of July
Well, what a turn around today, weather wise and fish wise. Flat calm sheet glass once again and the fish were spread out all over the place. Had the Ross's out from the D.C. area on day two of their fishing trip (see earlier post for the 4th of July Report). Trolling from the inshore reef out to the drop-off/ ledge we managed 3 nice Dorado in the morning by 8:30am. Kept trolling out to about 15 miles and found where the Sails were hiding. Ended up releasing 2 Sails and raised 4 others by 1:00pm. Saw lots of freejumpers and trolled over quite a few tailers.. area was only about 3 miles wide and we circled around there for some time. Heading back towards inshore and caught another nice Dorado, and had a couple other dorado come blazing in without getting hooked up. By 3:00pm we were back on the reef inshore and threw out some different jigs- we ended up with one 25lb. Wahoo and lost another. We saw some Yellowfin Jumping around but could not get a bite from them. I think we went 4 for 8 on the Dorado today and they were mostly blind jig strike singles coming in out of nowhere.. not a bad day, Sailfish, Wahoo, Dorado. Its crazy, between the 2 days these guys (the Ross's) fish with us, they had caught 9 Wahoo, like 20 plus Dorado, 10 or so Yellowfin Tuna, and 2 Sailfish!! They had a great time for sure and said they would be back next year..

(3rd) Report for the 9th of July below.. different thread attached

Talking And yes, another report from today - July 9th

I got my camera back and working so I will keep posting photos, and continue with updated reports.. I like to keep everyone in the loop when the fishing is good around here!!

July 9th Report -Today was another mixed variety, meat fish day....another full day catching alot of Tuna, some Dorado, and another Wahoo to boot! Had a couple from Arkasas visiting for the first time. We caught about 12-15 Yellowfin Tuna, 4 Dorado, and 1 Wahoo. Raised only 2 Sailfish today offshore and saw lots of others tailing around- just did not want to bite., both fish took a lookie but no-go on bait. We released most of the Tuna and could have caught more- most came off of groups of porpoise working real close to the beach, 5 miles out. Lots of small footballs....but they are still tasty!! Tried live-baiting for roosters in the afternoon but was unlucky on getting anything to bite the live-ones.. The Dorado were on the small side, peanuts, so we let them go except one 20lber. The meat fishing has been going off here, great time to get the variety! Will post more soon, real busy this month.
