West Marine has the stuff too but plan on paying a lot more. Up to you though considering time and gas to drive out here. | Wow, good looking top. What was the dimension ( thickness too) of the original board before you cut it up ? what kind of material did it made from do you know. Thanks

Duy | It was 42"X 36" (or near that).
The material is Starboard. I heard you can actually find similiar material from a plastics supplier. It cuts and drills real clean with about the consistancy of pressboard. Actually a pleasure to work with.
I'll post more pics soon. I've just been busy at that four-letter-word place.

Nothing like a nice bait tank cover/fillet table.

Damm that is sweet I need to make one. Is that a PE50D tank?. I run mine at 1/2 full while underway to keep down the splash factor as well as additional weight.

I was in LA Bay last week. I'm filleting yellowtail on my bitchin bait tank cover. Using the hose to spray it off between fish and I'm getting all the flesh trimmings and blood in the bait tank. Decide to lift it up and dip it over the side. Damn, I dropped it! Son of a bitch! What do ya know. The damn thing floated to the surface. It's pretty heavy and I was sure it was gone. Gotta love the starboard.

Starboard is a Marine grade HDPE High Density Polyethylene. HDPE can be bought at almost any plastic retailer.
FYI I built a very simple one out of an old oversized plastic cutting board. It works great. i am not sure how it would hold up in the sun since mine is not exposed when it is stored. A lot of cutting boards are made from HDPE.
It is worth a shot, cutting boards are pretty cheap
