11.05 Monkeying around with the WarpDrive

Karl/Az.monkey asked me to come down to Frank/WarpDrive's boat at Harbor Island West Marina to watch?/photograph?/help? them fill Franks new hydraulic steering system and bleed out the air, and then maybe do some fishin'. I got there late enough to miss round one where they hooked up the lines to the ram backwards, and so the steering worked backwards, and Frank cut himself twice. Back to the dock for instant replay, which allowed me to get some interesting pics.

I did help a little bit. I knocked a latch off one of the hatches so that Frank could then re-attach it!

Frank has a new pet baby seagull, whom he has been feeding hot dogs to, and was a constant companion, crying to Papa Frank for more food. We took a break to eat my steak sandwiches and watch some Montel. It was psychic day, and thanks to Sylvia Browne, psychic extraordinaire, Frank now has the new nickname of Chi Chi.

Then the coolest thing happened! Frank decided to give me an old spinning reel and rod!! I have no idea how this came about because I was on the phone at the time, and I was misunderstanding what was happening. But he could not find a more grateful recipient in 'lil 'ole moi!!!!! He offered me a choice of 3 rods, and when I couldn't make up my mind between 2, he said, "take them both, I've got an old conventional reel you can have too." I said "How did I parlay the gift of one rod & reel into two?? Is that the magic of a steak sandwich??" He said "Yes". So Karl and he did all the work, and I took home all the rewards!!!!!!! A Penn, Roddy Hunter Pro Tornament 361 reel, a Penn Mariner Rod, and a Shakespeare Sturdy Stick, both about 5.5'!!!!!!!! No fishing today, but who cares!!!!!!! I am so psyched!!!!! (and not by Sylvia Browne, but Chi Chi!!!)

Frank, what is the white PVC device on the vinyl hose in a couple of the pics. Has a wire coming off of it........some sort of flow indicator?

(I might be able to figure it out if'n I could see the plumbing complete)

Mikey, that's the bait tank plumbing and wasn't the problem. Chi Chi and I were hooking up his new dual station hydraulic steering system and had accidently crossed the lines at the ram ( turn left go right and visa versa ) simple fix and now all Chi Chi needs is throttle cables for the upper helm and a new box of bandaids and WarpDrive is good to go in style !

Mikey....that's a bait alarm.....it senses when the flow stops and an alarm goes off.....

On it - like a $6 burger. I hate not noticing the fucking tank's not pumping until I get down to the rivermouth and half the damn bait's rolled over, and I didn't notice with the driving of the dory and watching out for stray Tiaras.

ive seen that buttcrack before looking off my balcony watchin frank install my furnace... ( ambusher too but i love his tush!) OWIE you ok and that steak sammich has me sayin ... seagull? heron pic is awesome and yes they do tag and keep track of the big blue herons.. awesome
