Re: float tube

I dont use rod holders. Two rods on a tube is one to many if you ask me.

But if you must, you can buy ones that wrap around your tube. Scotty makes OK ones. Theres a few companies that make different types. Sports Cahlet, Turners, Bob Marriots, all have a decent selection of different types.

Holla

P.S. Buy a V shaped tube. That one sucks.

Re: float tube

Yes get a V shaped boat. I bought this one from the link below for 95 bucks plus tax Sam's Club - Togiak Pontoon Float Tube – Teal. Everywhere else this tube is 140-160 a great deal comes out to about $110 with tax and shipping.

Sits nice and high out of the water and is very fast and stable.

Here is a comparisson chart for other tubes and this one

Re: float tube

Also it is very light and has straps so you can put it on like a backpack.

I dont know about any of their other boats but this one is awesome. I know about 10 guys that use these and they all love it. I guess if you want to use it only in fresh water a slow boat that you sit low in would be ok. In calm water you can use about anything to fish off of but for me I fish alot around the kelp beds and rocks of Laguna. I also have one like the one you ordered and it is way to slow and you sit too low for fishing like that.

Hope your tubes work out for you and that you guys slay the trout this winter.
