I owned a Sakonnet for 15 years. They are great boats. You'll have a ton of fun with that boat.

Wish my dad was that cool when I was growing up to spend all that time on a big project like that. The final boat came out nice and going with a lighter engine was a better idea. P.S what was up with the Yamaha sticker being backwards.

I find it hard to believe that it is the same boat after seeing the before and after photos. You all did a great job and I am sure she'll be real fishy.

Newport Harbor is the place to find great deals on Whalers. I have found several there that needed some tlc but were worth the time and work to make it happen.
I would love a shop like that to create fiberglass marvels.
You guys did wonders with that project. Congrats on your accomplishments.
