I have a 23 w/ a house on it that was built by Bayrunner. A few minor differences though. The house is a little different (it's not so big). It has a lean post that we remove once in a while for extra deck space.

How wide did Klamath make that model?

I have no complaints about the boat. They ride better than any of the smaller ones. Yeah, they're aluminum and they can bounce, but we have never broached the boat coming down swell with or without weight.

I'll post pics of ours a little later.

Here's the one built by valco. I went to the Klamath website and they did reconfigure the house a little. We don't have the forward facing windshields, but the house is a little shorter than what they advertise. We have plenty of room to hide from the weather with A LOT of deck space for a boat that size.
A great boat. I wish we had her from the very beginning. For an aluminum she handles way better than one would think.

If you do go through with it I would recommend Shark Hide. It will keep the aluminum looking clean.
Klamath is willing to work with you. We talked to him about a new one and he was willing to reconfigure a few details about the design for personal preference.

Harrison, I like your boat and can see that a few dents hasn't slowed it down . Got to love the way aluminum can take a beating without failing. What is Shark Hide?

Deno, If money isn't an issue I don't think he can find a boat this size and weight that will do any more. I might go with a smaller house and then use canvas to enlarge it so on the days it isn't needed you can remove it for extra room. I just don't think I could pay $40K+++ for a small boat in today's market. If he likes to work on boats and has the talent he should look for a hull and build his own.

Shark hide protects aluminum boats from getting that dull color from salt water.
Yeah, she got beat up from the scientists at Scripps. They were the original owners of the boat.

Went by and picked up some parts and snapped a few pictures… I guess it’s the first and only pilot house model out there from bayrunner (under the new owners) … I want one...

I have a 21. Previously had a 19. The Bayrunners are great for what they are. That pilot house would be HOT in summer. You can't stand on that aluminum when the sun is out, especially in Baja. The pilot house would be like an oven in those conditions. The other problem I would see is getting thrown around inside there when the conditions are bad. The aluminum boats are like riding a bronco in the rough, especially the larger models because they don't have a very sharp entry on the bow. They bounce A LOT and I would see myself getting bruised up. Especially trying to fit two people in there during the rough. It really depends on where you will be fishing. I wouldn't want it in Baja. I prefer a big bimini to a hardtop of any form because of the additional shade and when it's cool you leave the bimini down for some warm rays. I would also want to see how they anchored the pilot house to the deck/structure. I've never seen a 21 or 23 that didn't have cracking in the welds of the console. And when running the boat you can see the console moving a lot. I know Klamath strengthened up the structure but is it simply screwed into the plywood deck? I've had those screws pull out many times while towing down dirt roads in Baja. And, yes, $35K is a lot for a ANY Bayrunner.

Deno just teasing you........... but you know eventually you are going to come over to the DARK SIDE. (shiny alloy). Save your money for now.... Sell that awesome but thirsty and high maintenance boat. Call Pacific Up and ask if there are any deals to be had. They are out there with more to come........After you sell yours you may not be that far off on getting one of these....... Seems I have seen three Walk Arounds for sale.

Maybe this winter when the homeguards show up we will go out and chase them. Someone who says alloy will beat you up obviously has not ridden in a Pacific.
