Nice conversion! Any other rail work should be cheap by comparison. Why marine metal work is so expensive is beyond me.

Dee,

Not much into sailboats so don't know what make or model it is but did talk to the owner over the summer. Nice guy with interesting stories of his travels around the world. He's an ex-professional sailor originally from South Africa and had the boat custom built a few years back. High-tech all composite 52 ft sailboat with electronics galore - dual to triple redundancy. Everything is built for big seas and long distance single person travel. He supposedly has circumnavigated the globe three times!

Top looks great. Makes the open a WHOLE different boat. A question though. Top looks white. Did they do anything to color match?

more pictures....

heres some pics of the skippy under construction. She hanging out @ HOUSE OF STAINLESS in Gardena. Tim & TEA are giving her a little face lift starting with bow roller and anchor. Bow rail upgrade with toe bar. Copied from the Davis parked next to her. 8 rod holders with wrap-a-round 1-1/4" grab rail. 1"grab bars took a lot of flex out of the side walls. Lenco trim tabs just to start. Also i'm replacing the vinyl fake wood looking side panels with 1/4 kingboard seafoam in color. Been a busy weekend for me. Windows will be in on monday. Any other suggestions let them rip.

If you ever Pissed off the bow of a boat the toe rail makes all the difference-oh ya...and for fishing too.

That rod bar is gorgeous!

You HAVE to put more rod holders on there!

Thats funny...i was asked that in a previous post. Heres my thoughts-But i could be missing the mark.

1. Only 4 people ((((Max))))-including me
2. 2 rods (((((ONLY)))) per person. Im sure everyone knows that guy who shows up with 5-9 rods all bundled together and wants to know where hes going to put them all. Then only uses one the whole trip. Same with the oversized tackle box & 40 plus Gigs. Im not turning this into a cattle boat.
3. Looks cleaner

Fire away guys...
