THERE are #s on the bell housing the are pn 850678 7836 serial nr 814401
here is also a picture of the deck that needs to be replaced its a project i think im going to remove the 2 holds right behind pilot house any help on engine or outdrive or type of boat would be frear i cant find any hull ident. #s deck will be replaced with 3/4 marine with poly resin stringers look good i also buffed half of hull so far came ou real good

I concur, outdrive looks like a V/P 280 outdrive and a V/P AQ series motor (small block chevy). Rounded bow nose and rubrail look somewhat Skipjack like but not sure...no hull ID on stb transom??

cant find any #s and no papers it sucks id love to know the history of the boat and year im just confused about the reverse running engine

Being a single screw it's probably not counter-rotating but it's not unheard of. Regardless, prop rotation can be changed within the outdrive for the V/P outdrives.

With all my knowledge after owning 12 boats, there are no reverse running engines, transmissions handle that part and the VP's have a rod that controls the prop direction on the back of the upper unit

That seems to be right . But on the sites with replacement or reman, the case is that there are reverse rotation engines. Mostly Chrysler. Older tech was apparently to have the engine do the counter-rotating.
