Talk your dad into buying it for a project boat for you. It is an excellent opportunity for you to learn and it's great for dad to work with you on it.
I'd buy it for you if you were my kid!

I picked it up yesterday. What a deal. Thanks Travis, It is a 20' panga 70 horse johnson on a galvinized EZ loader trailer final price $300.00 has clean title on both boat and trailer. This will be a fun little project that I should have back in the water by mid July, I will take before and after pics and post when project panga is completed. Again thanks for the heads up on this Travis,

skiff progress

I'm not sure if the pictures loaded but if so the progress so far was spending a Saturday cleaning out 2 years of trash and leave and other debris. Power washed her down to uncover the sweet site of the hull in great condition no holes no leaks. Spent the next day tinkering witht the motor and again sweetness it fired right up, let it run for an hour stopping and starting it up. So far seam to run good I will definately change the impeller and lower unit gear oil the tru test will be in the water with a load on it. Anyway a couple of part I need are Johnson throttle and ignition controls, Streering controls, fibrglass center console. I have a line on a console from a nother BD'r for $450.00 but would like to find one a little cheaper. If anyone has any of this please pm me. by the way the OSB plywood gussets are only patterns finish product will be marine grade 3/4" glassed in I have a 30 gall below deck tank that will go in foward center and the rest of the center section will be glassed in for a below deck fish hold
