LED Squid Lights Almost Ready

It seems I've got the brightness thing figured out . I swear you could land an airplane in our backyard. You HAVE to use a welding helmet to look at these things--unless you like having a purple spot in your eyes that lasts 12 hours or so.

I've got about 80% of the heat and electronic issues ironed out, and will have something ready for use soon. The first one will be ready to go by next weekend.

Looks like a pair should be on the stern of the "TANK" You can watch them all night at the bank in PV. Better yet find a way to make them into under water type and we will see what comes to the light at night.

I would love something like that for the stern area of my boat. Mount them just above the water line facing down. That way they only have to be water proof and won't have to deal with high pressure.

How much does it weigh and what is the minimum battery required to power it for a few hours?

Anyone need some mounts? Fishbert had an idea for some mounts for this exact thing.

Any interest in being a "test bed?"
