Santa Cruz Island 6-4-06

Left Channel Islands 4 AM aboard the Sumo. Rough seas until we reached the Islands and headed for south side of Santa Cruz Smugglers Beach. The morning drifts did not come up with any WSB or butts. I managed to land the first fish aboard with a nice calico. White fish, chuckleheads,Blue Bass, Johnny Bass and brought in this 5 lb red Hawg that managed to last for the jackpot fish. Caught most of my fish on the Gulp white mullit blindsided with a strip of squid. Boarded with a Jackpot comp ticket from last ride and departed with a jackpot comp ticket. It was a nice day.
