left ci at 6am on my buddys stigercraft to anacapa...well weather reports were way off ,we got to the island round 7am to find 20kts winds howling over the island ,tried drifts but it was fucked everywhere, there was more than 28 squid boats clustered from east end to pussy rock and kept metering squid- but no fish, gave up around 10am completely skunkd -got home to the wall to dump the bait and said what the heck lets do a drift ...keeper calico instant follow by back to back keeper flatfish then another drift for short bass and halibut ...we should have never left the harbor

Heard it was supposed to be windy out there yesterday, but didnt look that way in SB....sorry you got caught in it, always sux.

Grats on the local catch though, good eating for sure.
