200 pound marlin

Went out off the East end ridge on saturday the 5th. Hooked up on a double but only one stuck on a purple EAL. Good fourty five minute fight and released after some pictures. Estimating 200 pounds.

Good catch and not to stir up drama, but just as a suggestion next time take the picture with the fish in the water if you dont plan on keeping it to better insure the life of the fish touching it and letting it hit the deck can sometimes be bad.. Again good job releasing..

That a striper or a blue? Cant tell from the pics? Striper tastes like ass, but Blue Marlin are some of the best eating raw.

Ya next time have the wifey jump in the water with the fish to pose next to, at least when you let the fish go you can reel something back into the boat.

Congrats to you & the crew, MARK... but OUCH! That picture made me cringe . That fish most likely went to Davey Jones Locker and ended up feeding some bacteria on the ocean floor.

How did you get it back into the water to revive it?
