| HANGING OUT IN BARS - NEW VIDEO
Here are some on-the-water shots of our SuperBars, Spiders and Ruckus Raisers in action. And yep, that big, ugly old bear is me...hide the women, kids and small pets so they don't get scared!
So much for me never being on a boat with Spiders, I guess. Know what I mean? SHOOT TO KILL

Cool vid. Fred. How many baits you runnin' on those pink meatball bars in the video?
Also - Which bars come in the "meatball" version?
If you order a "meatball" bar, does it come on a 5 leader bar?

And I hope that it stays that way. I have no comment, except to say that I'm sorry that this broke out and for any hand that I had in that. As Corny said, this site and this board is about fishing and I agree and want it to stay that way. If any more garbage appears here, it will be deleted.
Corny,
Yes, all Meatballs come in a five leader configuration. We are re-doing the catalog to, among other things, make that clearer. Meatball bars come in very small size on up to 12".
Okay, let's get back to fishing. The other stuff doesn't belong here and will take care of itself.

Large meatballs sound great. Do you have any layouts yet? colors, # of teasers etc?

Here's my favorite pic of an Archer Meatball Bar. This one is a frign killer. It has 18 or 19 teasers (4 inch size black+purple colored teasers). I fished this bar on every single tuna trip over the last 2 years and it has been a killer on every trip in overcast and bright sunny conditions. I run 3 or 4 Archer bars (usually 2 meatball bars and 1 or 2 smaller bars) in my spread.... and they are all 4 inch sized black+purples.... one nice school of black and purple worked day in and day out for me. $0.02

Your $.02 is actually a great comment. Savin' money isn't always the first thing on a fishermens' mind, or we'd be vegans, we have used the fiber outta Fred's stuff in La Paz and at Mag Bay. We've got a couple that have been in service for 2 1/2 years and they are starting to show some wear, mostly from the sun I would guess. These guys are built with first class materials by guys who know how, and they last. It goes back to one of the points in Fred's book about how much money you can spend on bait, or save with bars, and be catchin' the fish too. Of course I'm prejudiced, but it helps when your usin' the best.

So is there a hook on any of those or do you just drop one back behind it after you have it positioned??? Also, can you just hand line it out and tie it off to a cleat or do you always use a rod or down rigger to run them???
