JUST LOOK AT THIS...MAYBE AGAIN

I'm talking about the video of the SuperBars running. Forget the fact that they don't tangle for a sec and just imagine what those two meatballs of terrified bait do to tunas and everythng else that swims. Then picture the little jets or feathers that you are probably trolling all over the place in the trolling spread that you are using now. You sure you want to burn a bunch of expensive fuel and go back out there without these babies aboard, so you can put, let's say four of these non-tangling, light pulling, long lasting SuperBars back there that you can run on your favorite gear and have over EIGHTY baits back there, nice and close together so that they pull up whole schools that turn into more multiple hookups than you could ever imagine?

Just checking.

The fish are coming.

Lead times are moving out and will get longer every day.

You snooze, you lose.

A word to the wise.

PLEASE don't say that I didn't warn you!

The video is down there. It might take a bit of time to load, but the wait will be worth it.

Thanks, Saluki. I don't know how to do that fancy kind of moving stuff around. And it let me watch it again. Sure, I love what it shows, including an old man one-handing those light-pulling puppies around, but on top of that, the music reminds me of my real home that I can never return to.

Viva Mexico Lindo querido!

I cant hear it, but that is pretty cool how those big spreads don't tangle. Are there any hooks in there, or just the teasers?

Mikey,

Those bars are both fully armed with the regular hooks. Look closely and you will see them running behind each bar. They are a different color. No trickery, nada. And they ARE over ten years old and have caught a helluva lot of fish each.

Next we are going to show the Spiders running and then how the bars - are you ready for this - skip right over the top of kelp paddies and almost never snag them. If there are fish on the paddy, they go insane when this happens and as soon as they go back in the water, BLAMMO! I know, hard to believe, but like the tangling thing, I'm not only saying it, we'll show you.

This too is gonna sound nuts, but after seeing them in the water, you might believe it. If not, video is coming of this, too. And you might even see it live this year.

This is how we ran when on the grounds and hunting for or chasing feeder tunas on the big boat down in Cabo and the little one up here. It let us "dump" the bars right now while we ran hard and just as we throttled down to trolling speed in front of the hole head pods or feeder tuna schools. Side scan sonar often showed me or AJ exactly where the leading edge of the tuna schools were and whoever was driving stayed on the hammers, beat the other boats to them (lots of combat fishing between charterboats down in Cabo) and get our bars in the water in seconds for a perfect first pass that usually resulted in Multiple City Bites.

Some of those Oregon and new NorCal Barheads have picked up on this and are doing it too.

In case anyone is wondering, the bars got dumped, long riggers, then short rigger, the long corners, then short corners by crew just flipping the reels into freespool with the clickers on in the order I just gave, then moving back and flipping them into strike. With a little practice, this happens fast and the resulting pattern is usually just about right when the last reels go into gear. If the fish give you time, you can then make any minor adjustments you want, but if the driver has done his job right, the shit usually has hit the fan before any adjustments can be made.

If you see Doghouse, a thirty-three Blackfin with a tower out there with bars doing exactly what I am decribing and picturing here, it'll be us...holler a howdy, and if you see us slow down and bars dropping into the water, watch, you just might see a pattern blow up! It's awesome! (Watch for the Labs going nuts when that happens! It ain't called "Doghouse" for nothing!) That chocolate is "Chocko", Vulpinus' fishin' buddy and the black is my big black Lab, Black Bart, his namesake and the man who sent him to me. Little Shadow is probably driving the boat and Lily and Grace are probably with her too.

Oh yeah, Labs Rule!
