Good Luck!

Sorry! I don't mean to be negative but these kind of reservations nead to be months (6 to 12) in advance unless you know somebody or get really lucky.

Chula Vista Marina. Can't beach but nice campground and you can rent a slip or launch is just around corner. Great place if you want to fish S.D bay but about 16 mile haul to open water. Good luck !! Chula vista Marina 619 422-0111 or 619 691-1860 for slip rentals

Here is what I would do for a one day fix.

Very very early in the morning launch your boat at the South Shores boat ramp located in Mission Bay right off of Sea World Drive.

Once you have done that (again, very very early) you then drive your motorhome a short distance to Fiesta Island and find yourself a good location to make your camp which can be right on the water. Then have someone bring the boat over to your beach front (actually bay front) location for the day, kickback BBQ and enjoy the fireworks, and it's all free.

Be prepaired for tons & tons of boat and people traffic and plan on staying put in that area till later in the night.

Go to Campgrounds and Camping Reservations - ReserveAmerica for reservations to all state parks and many county and privately owned parks.
The California State Park system uses this website as it's reservation resource. If you can't find anything is San Diego, you might be able to find something you like somewhere else.

What we've done is just pull up to the strip next to Mission Bay drive by the visitor center Friday afternoon and stay there until midday a day after everyone else has left. A little bit too much traffic but with the AC on you can't really hear it. There are way way too many RVs down there to chase everyone off so they just look the other way.

Fiesta is a cluster for sure it's all a cluster. Best part of an RV is that the alcohol ban don't worky on the INSIDE of the RV
