If people back in the day didn't hoard the fish like they did, BSB would still be legal, no limits on Rock Cod would exist and the local fisheries wouldn't be so depleted. Don't get me wrong, I love fishing and bringing home some food, but blatantley killing and abusing the system is the number one reason our fishing is in jeopardy. I know commercial has a lot to do with it as well, but when I look at pictures of people back in the 50's and such raping the ocean of way too many fish to eat is jsut a waste of natural resources. Keep this thread and others like it in mind the next time DFG closes another fishery, places heftier limits or increases fines(which is in place to scare people from doing wrong). Ge t you heads out of your arses please... | way to make friends and influence people . Correct me if i'm wrong , but are'nt sealions at historic high levels in Ca. A culling of the herd is long over due . But I AGREE stabbing one for stealing bait is pretty damn stupid .

Their out of control and the dynamic equilibrium needs to be rectified. I feel bad for the guy getting in trouble for hurting one of those little thieves. I've been it situations where if I could stab them I would, hell i'd shoot the damn things! right when the bite turns on at the islands, wham, there they are, there just too damn smart, we need some GW's here and we need them now, not sure how the surfers will like that though.

We hit the GW population hard, actually the shark population in general, and now there are too many seals... go figure...

Jeeze, Derek must be a PETA informant just laying low to relay our stories to the tree huggers . I'd love to nail one of those fuckin' knotheads with a .45! I've also heard that warning shots don't really scare them off. I definitely think an open season would get them to back the fuck away when I'm fighting a nice flatty!

If the seal was close enough for him to stab repeatly, I'd say she was attacking him! One stab should do it unless she was vicious. How many of you think you can stab a seal over and over? This doesn't sound right to me.
