Is it possible that you might just think that YOU are in THEIR habitat? I am so sick of hearing people thinking the ocean belongs to them and they should have the freedom to do whatever they wish. If things like this keep hapenning, you are damn straight fishermen will be to blame and the government will do all in its powers to stop them, ie. stop people from fishing becasue apparently you all can't get your heads out of your asses and jsut deal with what mother nature has created. Killing a sea lion becasue it stole your bait is one of the most absurd things I have heard, and you ALL who think it is ok to harm a sea lion should just get off the water so the rest of us can enjoy the ocean and ALL it has to offer. I have lost several fish to them, but you know what, it is what it is and I am not about to degrade myself or an animal for my own personal well being. It is absolutely ridiculous to think that this many people think it is ok to harm an innocent animal. They were here looooong before we were, dipshits...

And the type of person who will help shut down fishing for you all... way to go, strip the ocean of everythng in it so future generations can ony look at pictures and not enjoy catching fish. It is one thing to follow laws and fish like the rest of us, but that is absolutley one of the dumbest things I have read on here. If people back in the day didn't hoard the fish like they did, BSB would still be legal, no limits on Rock Cod would exist and the local fisheries wouldn't be so depleted. Don't get me wrong, I love fishing and bringing home some food, but blatantley killing and abusing the system is the number one reason our fishing is in jeopardy. I know commercial has a lot to do with it as well, but when I look at pictures of people back in the 50's and such raping the ocean of way too many fish to eat is jsut a waste of natural resources. Keep this thread and others like it in mind the next time DFG closes another fishery, places heftier limits or increases fines(which is in place to scare people from doing wrong). Get you heads out of your arses please...

Hell I don't think he meant to kill it..Probably just stick it a few times to teach it a lesson. The good doctors at the Pacific Marine Mammal Center in Laguna Beach finished the fucker off. Personally I would have preferred they fed it to a 2000lb GW filmed the thing and put it on utube for us all to see....

Hey Derek, you've been here for about two minutes. You'll find most of us respect the ocean and fish responsibly and bitch about seals and sea lions but not much else. And one more thing, back in the day, nobody fuckin said back in the day.

They are so thick here they follow you when trolling and then steal your Salmon at the boat.
Go to Bonniville Dam on the Columbia river and watch them snag 30lb Salmon in the fish ladders. People who never go to tha ocean keep sayin they are endangered...BS. I have been on the ocean my whole life and I say BS !
I say we have a derby style hunting season and cull the herd... Now I am gonna here it from all the PETA people...
P.S. I love the ocean and all it's creatures, but some goverment protections don't make sense...
