Type of crab?

I found crab in my nets last Friday. Would someone please tell me what kind of crab they are and what kind is legal to keep? The gauge I have has both Lobster and Crab. We caught alot of the fist crab picture the second crab picture is just about an 1" long and looks like he should destroy Tokyo while fighting Godzilla. All crab went back in the water and 0 bugs. We did catch a Toad Bass in a net (-:

Going buggin this Friday still looking for my own honey hole.

Top pic is a rock/stone crab and is excellent to eat - they must measure 4" across the shell to keep - the limit is 35 per person.

Yep, 4" across the widest part of the shell.

Work your nets up tight to the jetty and you should be able to load up on them.

Oh yeah, there is no season on them either - open all year.
