DFG wardens should make as much as the CHP. They have a dangerous job and should be compensated for it. This stamp seems like a good intended idea but as someone else pointed out in here, they will use the money for MLPA or something else it was'nt intended for.

I'm all for helping but this sound like another way to generate money for what ever the hell they want. I doubt much if ANY money would go to where they say it will or we would like to see it go.

Man this pisses me off!
How many times have good intentions turned bad when the government is
collecting our money.
I'm sick of it's for the children.
We all need some skin in the game.
Crap like this will always turn out bad.We all pay enough taxes......STOP IT
ALL READY.

Remember when you could buy a license based solely on the type of fishing your were doing? You had a choice between salt water and freshwater.
Personally, I think this is bullshit, as soon as the piggy bank gets enough money in it Arnie will take his hammer to it and use the funds to support something that it wasn't meant for....happens all the time.

Most of the existing money goes to "Admin", not the wardens. The existing dollars for the most part are not used for sound fish and game management from wardens to management practices.
How many are actually going to buy an optional stamp? Throw in overpriced licenses and it is one more reason to leave the state. Revenues will be lower because of less license purchases so they will have to raise the rates more to pay for the admin costs. What a joke.

There is a good chance I'll only buy a Mex license next year.....and carry a bunch of the DFG declaration forms considering how little I actually fish in this state.
