Yellowtail Shootout - need a team

Well, I've worked on this boat for two years now, fished some, and I'm finally to the point where all I want to do is fish. I would like to meet a couple of serious fishermen to fish in the shootout.

I have a 20' Chaparral cuddy cabin that I think is set-up to kill some fish. I have everything I can think of with the exception of radar. The last thing is automatic control for the trim tabs and flow meter, and that's going on this week.

I have fished on charters for the past 30 years, and love to do anything as long as it's fishing. I have the same gear I always used on charters, none of it very fancy, but have killed one hell of a lot of fish. I have not fished a lot in the local area for yellowtail, so I need some guys that have their stuff together to have a legitimate chance of winning. I also have never fished in a timed tournament.

If any of you are interested, PM me your phone number and we'll talk.

I'm sure this could be a lot of fun. Hope something can be worked out.

are you looking help financing the trip or just need experienced person to better chances. Need a little more detail as to what your looking for. also do you have GPS. By time of YTS there should be patties at 302,425,181,182,and even the nine. maybe the Islands will open up. never fished ternament before but I have caught my fare share of fish from around our local areas.

Well gang, the name stays. I've put up with every imaginable sort of BS about that since I was old enough to walk, so at 65 I think I can laugh with you.

The boat has GPS, VHF, FF (Garmin 498), 37 gal bait tank, T Top (almost not fair to call what Tom Rogers did a T Top), trim tabs, windlass w/370' rode, rocket launchers on T Top, back-up GPS and VHF,...what more info do you need?

As far as the expenses - doesn't the team share the expenses? I'm new at this, but that would be my understanding.

PM for phone number and photo of boat.

With that kind of attitude you will do fine.I heard Old McDonald is looking for someone to fish with, you should P/M him.Just kidding of course. If and when you find a team, all expenses should be split.Sounds like you are ready to do some damage so pre-fish as much as possible and all else is likely to fall in place.Good luck Capt.Farmer,el capo

Well Gang, the team is set. Old MacDonald would be proud! Hope to do some serious damage to the local Yellowtail population.
