Mike, I'm originally from Virginia where I used to fish the bay and offshore region of the mid-atlanic quite a bit. C-Hawks were pretty popular hulls about 15 years ago---don't know much about the newer ones. I've actually ridden on a few and they were very solid, old school hand laid hulls. No frills, but safe and seaworthy. The resale value of these hulls never held on much past a few years, but I think this is largely due to fact that most of the boats that were out years back were very basic models with few bells and whistles. They used to be common among the crabbers in the bay who often utilized 20-25' models equipped with single or dual outboards.
If you're looking at an older boat, just be aware that there was a lot of wood construction in the older ones and you should be careful to check for rot or water intrusion.
