I'd definitely through these in the ring with the above mentioned. I fell in love with these boats 3 years ago.

No shit I almost bought one of these a few years back. 9.5' beam on that Blackwatch/Black Marlin is very nice.

Hear are a few things I like the 26' Skipjack F/B over the 26' Blackman Billfisher...

1. You can sit 3-4 guys and have lunch in the galley...you can only sit 2 on the
Blackman.

2. Skippy gelcoat on deck seems to wear better...I have looked at many used and new Skippies and Blackmans...

3. The bow rail is alot taller and to me alot safer when you need to rush to the bow

4. The cuddy is open and more airy while the Blackman is more enclosed....this
suit me better since I normally travel with wife and kids

5. The bridge is more functional and I prefer the placement of the wheel

Now, if it's my decision and if we don't need all the creature comfort like hot water
for the sink and shower, galley, can sleep a minimum of 4 people, enclosed head on
a trailerable boat. I will have a 26' Outerbanks built with a Yanmar 315 straight shaft.
Can't stand the F&**&^* outdrive!

If I was smart, I would have kept the 25' tippy skippy...but hey it's only money...

we had our blackman for about 6 years now. i think the main drawback of the boat is cruising speed. we have twin inboard diesels and cruise between 15-18 knots. when the weather is pretty bumpy we can still maintain speed but, when the weather is nice it sucks to be cruising at 18 knots . it is one thing to really consider. when we had a 23ft parker we used to fish twice a week. now, usually after one day of fishing we are beat.

Nalani, I see that you are about 33 years old. Dont blame a boat for being beat up and tired. You probably had such a good time you did not realize how much work you are doing. Some boats do make you feel the weather more so than others. Blackman boats are heavy and I think they will absorb the weather and sea bumps better. Remember that you may cover more area going faster, but you can also pass up a kelp pattie going fast.

Had a Billfisher for years. I loved the boat. Only negative I have on the Billfisher is that on long trips and cold nights you are usually by yourself uptop driving while your buddies are warm and cozy having cocktails and playing cards. Bastards!

Have you seen the fish hold! You have to have one hell of a day to plug the 1 ton fish hold. And it's insulated. Holds ice for days.
