Need an overhead electronics box

So i am trying to mount my electronics overhead on my hardtop, but I just cant get myself to pay $400 for a piece of fiberglass with a window.
Anyone have one they are looking to part with? Or any idea how to build something? Please help...

Try making one out of plexiglas. It's pretty easy to work with.

Does it have to be glass? Lots of other materials that would work well. Like paper mache', oatmeal, gingerbread works very well! How about that old christmas fruitcake!

j/k.......
