I'm looking into buying a new center consol boat. I was looking at AA marine over in Vista and the Triumph and Sea Fox caught my eye. Also looking on line I saw a Carolina Skiff. If anybody has any info good or bad on these boats I would like to hear it.

If you're looking for advice mine would be to buy a used boat. Lots of deals on center consoles can be found.

| I bought new no regrets, but they do depreciate a lot. If I tried to sell I would be in the hole big time just something to think about. It’s nice to know the history of your boat and motor especially when your 100 miles out. If you’re going to keep her for a long time and you can afford it, buy new. My 2 Deno

| East coast/Florida boats
Just a little input on some of the Florida and East coast boats..I fished with a guy for a long time that had purchased a great little sportfisher from Florida..got a great deal and the boat was great (I'll not name the boat because I don't want to get into a pissing match with anyone)..the problem came when he went to re sell the boat and move up...his boat was great, it ran great, it fished great but it wasn't a "known name brand" on the West Coast..likewise, I had a 23 Mako CC with a direct drive a number of years ago...super boat...but not much of a market when it came time to move on...now there are lots of Makos so not too much of a big deal any more..I'm sure that if you mention a Blackman (wonderful boats) or Skipjack (Muy Bueno) or any of the more popular local makes on the East Coast, you might find it tougher re selling one of those great boats there..dealers are scarce if there at all, just like dealers for East Coast boats here...
There was (maybe still is) a super 33' twin diesel Blackfin or Blackwatch (not sure of the name..big time east coast boat) with a tower, all the goodies, low hours, great looking boat...it was for sale forever in Mission Bay and they keept dropping the price trying to find someone to buy it..I spoke with one broker about it and he said it was a super deal and a terrific boat but no one knew much about the brand and were leery of getting something they couldn't get with a dealer about..Last I saw it was down in the $70's with low time Cummins or Cats...They weren't even getting "lookers"
One final thing..there is an amazing 23 Mako CC in Mission Bay at Seaforth Yacht Brokers (I have absolutly no affiliation with them...just saw the boat) that has been completely rebuilt with brand new engine, drive, new LP, etc..it's really something to see..couldn't be duplicated for twice the price at least...they have a web site that shows all the boats....just a thougth as a comparison point for other boats...Good hunting ... big time buyers market right now.

triumph's are sick boats, i like cause of the tough & low maintenance hull with the roplene material. if i ever getr rid off my wellcraft (nope) i'd get a triumph center console with a yami motor.
