| Repower underway; parts available if needed!
Well, the repower project is underway. I just had the engines pulled from my boat. The starboard engine is sold, but I've got some good parts on the port that'll be for sale. I'll be listing them in the classified. PM me if interested.

I'm having twin Marine Power VR-1, 5.7l, freshwater cooled, installed by Grant. I start hauling the fuel tank next week. She'll be sweet when she's done!
Dean, just let me know. I'll be picking the boat up from Grant next week, so I'll rape the block at that time. There's some new parts on there (rebuilt alternator, risers, manifolds, carb, etc.), so someone who's in the market for parts might score.

Andrew, glad to hear your repower is moving ahead. Please email me at drolfe4@cox.net on any parts you're going to sell. My boat is almost ready for painting, so I am making progress, albeit slow...better than none tho.
I wanted to ask you also if you find the isenglass enclosure necessary? My boat also has the half tower top but not the enclosure.

Dave, sorry I've been a bit busy between work, school, kids and boat ... ! I think I still owe you some carpet and weatherstripping samples, too. Here is a link to the parts I have for sale. PM me if interested!

It looks like I might be in the market for some parts myself.
One of the bellhousings had water intrusion from the bellows, so the outside portion (small end) is corroded. Anyone got a spare they'd like to sell? Part number is 835978.
Also, I might be in the market for a couple of Y pipes (826443), we'll see! If someone has a good source for parts, please let me know. I'm trying to keep the cost as low as I can.

I cannot use any of the items you're selling, but I've got to think others here would want 'em. Also, I'd post them on Craigslist.
I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the isenglass question when you get the chance. Tight lines....

The eisenglass, right!
In the winter time, it keeps the helm nice and toasty, but in the summertime it's as hot as hell. Your boat is a dry ride, so you don't really need it in that respect. It is nice to be able to put it up when the wind starts kicking, but other than that, it's really not necessary. I paid $800 for mine, so it comes down to if you want to part with that kind of cash ... I'm sure you've got other things you'd like to get fixed before that!
