2in Diameter Rod Holder?

I want to mount some rocket launcher style rod holders on my aluminum radar arch--it's 2" diameter. Everything I have found only seems to go up to 1 1/4" at most. Any suggestions?

Re: 2in Diameter Rod Holder?

Custom mounts maybe? Or another hoop above the rearward one that is 1 1/4" to use the off the shelf ones. Don't know which would be cheaper.

Re: 2in Diameter Rod Holder?

Are you looking for launchers to hold your rods when not in use

Or

Are you looking for launcher type rod holders to use while trolling or bait fishing (clicker or in gear) ??

if the latter, cabelas makes a bitchen 2" rod holder, i just bought two, still waiting for them. My buddy John CapnJ's uses them on his boat. They work perfectly, they swivel, but the angle is maintained so a biting fish hooks itself, wont tip over.

Hold on i will post a link.

Re: 2in Diameter Rod Holder?

The HT is for casting rods (reels with larger sideplates will fit)

The quick draw is for spinning rod, when you lift rod out of holder it mantains pressure on the fish, as opposed to most holder you have to pull them towards the fish to reduce pressure to get the rod out of the holder.

On the HT, i went with this trick flush mounting system, but there are several other mounting styles available (example rail mount for mounting to bow rail), so there are many models depending on what you need.

These are high quality durable, will last, worth the money.

Ok, here is the link:

Re: 2in Diameter Rod Holder?

A lot of times getting them welded on is cheaper than the bolt on style above.

Call Tom and Pacific Yacht towers.
