Question Which wax and compound?

I currently use trewax paste wax and trewax rubbing compound.
it works good but i was wondering what you guys use. i want something that i can use on other peoples boats because down at where my dad has his boat i get 2-3 people who want me to buff out their boat.
also long should it take to do a 24' boat.
What technices do you guys use. How much would you charge to do a 24' boat that needs completly buffed out and has several scuff marks?

thanks
Grady

I talked to the guys at Schock Boats and they say that if your are doing gelcoat, anything that says for marine and RV and is a carnuba wax. You should be able to get whatever you need from Westmarine. Maybe even the high quality stuff from Pep Boys.

i don't have a license to drive so i am not very portable. i also only do the boats in my marine because i know the people. and i have a job. i just wax a boat for someone once in a while i really don't want to make a business out of it. i had an offer to do a 44' Grand Banks that there was no way i would do that. i would never finish at my pace plus i would be worried of the owner expecting too much from a 16 yr. old.
sorry if it was misleading.

Young man, you are not recognizing the concepts of capitalism starring you right in the face.
Explain to your customers that you are a slow worker. If they accept that, do a great job. Your good reputation will spread through the harbor. You will get more business. You will make enough to buy a car. You will get more business and you will have to hire more people to help you. Make more money. By the time you get to college you will be a baller and you will have established a small business. You will get lots of chicks. This my boy is the American Dream.

I'm next...no buffing... but a wax would be good. I can deliver the boat to you. on a trailer.

when you say restoring do you mean buffing it out with rubbing compound then putting wax on it or do you mean something else?

I understand what you are saying. I would love to do that. But, I also love what I do for a job right now also. I do not mind waxing a boat so now that you put it like you did I now have to give it some thought.
thanks

So does that mean that the boat still has its shine to it and just needs another coat of wax for protection? I might be intrested in putting on a coat of wax standing up. all the boat i done before have been hands and knees on the docks at the marine which is a killer.
thanks
