| Looking at Fish Cleaning on Board
Who has the best ideas about an on board cleaning table/device that allows the handling of big (30-60 lb) fish, helps keep the boat clean, and takes up no storage space when not in use? Ok, I'll compromise, but who has solved this conundrum?
Thanks

If you have a 7/8" or 1" rail on the boat I can custom fab you one....PM me your email address and I will shoot you over some digital pics of mine....Not cheep, but can build you whatever size you want. Pivots outta the way during the day and swings back into position when needed.

I've got the Magma 41" cleaning table, I believe they make a 61" model too. My table fits into 2 flush mount sockets on the starboard gunnel. I store the table under my casting platform in the bow. It works very good, and has a minimal of parts.

My board will meet the size and keeping things clean requirements, but I store it in the lazarett. I made the board so it mounts to a rail on my bait tank and runs off the stern. It is 24" wide by 60" long and made from 1/2" polypropylene (cutting board material) and works well. I take a couple of shots tomorrow when I'm at the boat and post.

Sounds cool!

You can buy polypro boards cut to size on the internet.
The boards can be glued, or bolted down to igloo cooler tops if you countersink the top holes above the indentations on the underside of the lid so that both the heads and nuts will be out of the way.
Check igloo marine for the exact cooler dimensions but a 94 cooler which is common measures around 34 inches x 18" wide and makes a nice fillet surface.I think the 120 wt cooler is around 44" long.
I like this system as it lets me work where I want on land or sea and the weight of the cooler makes a steady base and place to store fish or fillets.
