check this auction out on ebay, I don't know if it's the one but it would be sweet if it was, I get some good deals sometimes, worth a shot.

We are not that dangerous with tools Jere, we just know how to use them and are not scared to tare some shit apart. Now you are dangerous around speaker wire. Iv found some websites that carry the 160 degree thermostat but it will take about 5 days to get here. I am going to keep looking though.

Both of these men know how to handle there tools what do you think we did all day work?

They are both very good at mechanical workings and both show an easy understanding of how things work. I've seen more then my share of mechanics and these two have talent. Joe (Joedirt) has a natural ability for engines.

Ya have to have a sense of humor around me. It's the only way I've gotten this old with out getting caught for killing somebody.

OMC... I've had my share of problems on my old boat. Hope you get it in the water soon and enjoy with your family.

Re: I broke my boat...need mechanic now!!

Tuesday night:
JR & Joe showed up with a Thermostat Joe found at Sunset. So we fired up the motor to see what else we could fix.
I will admit the motor ran great. Sounds very solid.
The carb is an old holly and it was obvious that we needed to get her apart and cleaned up.
You can see the junk in the power valves and pretty much all through the carb. No fuel filter? JR has one and that will be added tonight.

You can also see in the first pic a slight crack in the exhaust manifold that is leaking. just another thing to add to the list.

We are still on the hunt for an affordable upper drive. the parts I need to fix this one are more then a rebuilt will cost. We have a few leads that we will be checking on. JR has a tight budget and we need to get the most bang for our buck.
