| LIQUID ROLLERS - BAD EXPERIENCE
So, I feel a little stupid posting this buut...........
Two weeks ago I sprayed my trailer bunks with some of that Liquid Rollers stuff. Friday morning we're at the launch and I tell my buddy to go ahead and back me up into the water. When the transom was about 3-5 feet away from the water I decide to release the safety chain and winch strap. When I released the winch strap the boat moves but no more than an inch but as soon as I stood on the trailer to get on the boat the fucken boat starts to slide off the trailer, BUT THE TRAILER AND BOAT AREN'T EVEN IN THE WATER!!!!
I yelled out, 'BACK UP BACK UP but the boat is sliding off faster than the my buddy is backing up. Knowing that there was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING I could do I jump on the trailer, jump on the spare, grap onto the boat rail and just barely make it onto the bow, had I hesistated another second or two my rig would have been floating with no captain on board!!
Fortunately, the boat slid off without causing any damage but ooooh damn was I scared, I damn near crapped on myself. Anyway, it's funny now but holy shit was I scarred. So, if you ever decide to use this product please take a minute to read the caution on the can, it reads, 'Treated Surfaces are Extremely Slippery'

Never feel stupid about posting something that could potentially help someone else. We all learn from mistakes, that why we sit at the SI launch ramp between 3-6pm.
Good Karma coming your way for the info....

Don't think of it being stupid, think of it as helping others.

Damm that stuff makes me nervouse, would never even think of usung it.
I get scared with out using any thing .
Depending on the ramp you're going to, went yesterday and launched out of south shore ramp in long beach for the first time. That fricking ramp is so steep that I backed up the truck super super slow and didn't want to hit the brakes unrill I saw that the boat was in the water.
You just expieriance my nightmare, I still don't get how the hell you kept the boat from hitting the ground.
Nice catch.............

Almost a real bum deal. Dish soap works pretty good too. Tryed it one time.Never again. I always walk my boat to the trl. then use the winch strap to pull the boat on. The guy that told me about the dishsoap idea said he also teachs people how to launch/retrieve boats on there trls in Arizona. He said its much better to just drive the boat onto the trl. So I tryed the dishsoap drive boat on trl thing. May work for a Alum. Valco, But my 26' Sea Ray you can't even see the trl and most of the tow vehicle. So I would just bump the bow roller, then slide back down the trl bunks into the water. After about six attempts of this. Ended up chiping the keel. Then just loaded the boat my usual way.Besides, pulling over 9k up a lot of really steep hills.Dont need nothing helping the boat slide off the back of the trl.
I also unhook the winch strap after the boats floating and running in the water.Always that very small chance,The boat wont start. And heaven forbid,If a BD member was waiting for the ramp |

i think anyone who says that they've never had a close call at a launch ramp or crashed a dock would lie about other things too.
there got be a way to get to that camera on top of that pole.
