Sorry Curt, I moderate and admin another fishing forum and I just hate when people do that stuff.... just seriously pisses me off.. hahaha.

I have to go detail the rest of my boat today, this is GREAT info. Waxed the hull for about 3 or 4 hours yesterday, just have the top half to do today, then loading up to go albie fishing! Yeeehaw!

OK Great tips but one question, any idea on what to use to get marine growth off gel coat w/out taking the gel coat off. Had my boat slipped for almost a month and I'd like to take the growth / discolor completely off. Did most of it with high power water spray but there is still growth and discoloration.
Any ideas?

why spend all that money on products when you could buy an alloy plate spend no time waxing or removing rust and spend that money on fishing reels and rods????? You might as well yourself for owning fiberass

21ftcc:

Hey that sounds exactly like the decision I made ! Two Grady's and one Whaler Outrage later and I said enough of that **** ! My Pacific 26CC is 4 years old and stored uncovered in the winter (except Center and engine). Still looks brand new and all I do after use is rinse it off. Man I love this boat ! I saved all the money on that fiberglass care stuff and replaced all my Penn reels with Accurate's. Now my reels rarely need any maintenance !
All this fishing time now .....all the rest of my love goes to the big Honda.
Perfection on the water....who would have thought !

I still like fiberglass in my fishing rods !

Nice job, I used the same porter cable polisher and pads and it really made the boat shine. I had a few areas that I used 2000 wet sand to remove small scratches. Check out the Starbrite Non-Skid deck cleaner, it has some chemical in it that helps keep the blood from sticking.
