FireKell has a nice 30' proline walk around that I think is ideal for extended trips KCKevin has a 26 proline that also is ideal ( sorry if I got the length wrong Kev ) I have a 23 with a cuddy and it works well with 4 peeps over 2 days. Like I said it all depends |

everyone has differnet needs...how many pilot house boats do you see with 8 people on board sitting comfortably and a skier behind it.
A guy buying a CC is rarely if ever planning to go out for a couple of days and sleep on the boat....
I prefer Dual Console, but I am a minority, I love my boat and wouldnt trade it for any another out there...Unless it came with a bigger truck to tow it and got the same or better fuel ecomony of Tahoe. My boat can seat 8 people and pull a skier or fish 100miles off shore, IT FITS MY NEEDS.

Originally Posted by hotrodtuna Okay boys and girls which is better for local water fishing, no larger than say 32'? | If your looking for the best fishing platform, its gonna be a center console (CC). CC's allow you to move front to back with ease and have plenty of room for a good size bait tank (even in a small boat). But if your looking for a little more, like a place to sleep or a place to hide from the weather, a cuddy will do the trick.
My old ride was a ProLine 17 CC and it was great for fishing, but I really do like my Striper Cuddy for the extra benefits of staying the night on the water or just staying out of the sun... |

Originally Posted by Killer Instinct What about pilot house or half cabins? Like the Davis and Parkers!!! | My bad - when I referred to cuddy I really meant cuddy, walk around, pilot house, etc... CC are straight fishing machines, no extra comfort and really no place to kick your feet up. Except i did see a 30+ foot Mako that was a CC and had a small low profile cuddy in the front that slept 2.The cuddy was elevated 6-8 inches above deck level and was perfectly flat so you could use the whole bow area. It was a sweet setup. |

Clean up is much easier on my Whaler too. |
