CC are straight fishing machines, no extra comfort and really no place to kick your feet up. Except i did see a 30+ foot Mako that was a CC and had a small low profile cuddy in the front that slept 2.The cuddy was elevated 6-8 inches above deck level and was perfectly flat so you could use the whole bow area. It was a sweet setup.

I've got both types of boats. I much prefer my c/c over my w/a. Much more fishing room on my Whaler than my Shamrock. Clean up is much easier on my Whaler too.

I think the length of boat bears on the decision: 18' and under the CC gives you the most room to fish. 19' to 26' a Walk Around gives you a good compromise of plenty of fishing space with weather protection and a drier ride back from SCI. 27' and up, give yourself the gift of cabin space and plan to spend multiple days at the islands in comfort. My current float is a 19' CC and I am strongly leaning toward a WA for my next ride. Of course, the best bet is to make friends with owners of all 4 and pitch in for gas and bait!

while i loved the fishablity of my old center console, i now prefer my pilothouse. it makes the best overall choice for me as it allows greater flexibilty for overnight trips, protection from the weather (my wheel house is heated!), and better overall comfort on sloppy days...

I have been on all of the boats you questioned, I owned a skipjack 25 flybridge, beautiful cabin, flybridge was a pain in the ass but it was a good ride. My friend has a parker 25 with the cabin, great boat good stability tend to ride a little hard, but a great boat. I currently have a 2610 proline with the diesel. It has the wide beam at 9'8" and ride better than any other boat I have owned, it has the cabin and a walkaround that is actually useable. If you are looking definitly take a look at one. As far as cc's go I don't really llike to fish in rain gear, they are great but just no creature comforts. As you get older ride and comfort do make a difference. I actually enjoy walking into the cabin and taking out a beer, and not having to trip over another cooler.

I voted Walk Around, but the Everglades CC's are sick ass boats that offer wrap around wind shields and large hardtop covers to keep you shaded. Pricey, but they have EVERYTHING you could possibly imagine.
