CA. Gaoline Tax Refund

I saw this on another board and thought I would post it here.

The rebate is 18 cents per gallon. Last year I bought 1,980 gallons of fuel and a conservative estimate at 75% or 1,485 gallons = $267 rebate back to me.

Its well worth it and you do not have to own a business.

I'm not sure how long it's been around but I spoted it the other day.

Not many people know this, but you can opt to pay for your gasoline tax as a flat one time annual fee. I don't know the details anymore (been a few years since I found out about this). For the average person, it was cheaper to pay by the gallon at the pump, but moderate to heavy users saved some coin paying the flat fee.

Anyone else know about this?
