charge the battery's on low for about 2-6 hours recheck the the water level in each cell .
you shouls also go out and buy a battery "hydraumeter" to test the acid level in each cell after you've charged the battery's.
have fun

have fun | So your saying that every boat in every marina is screwing up. Every time you plug into shore power multiple chargers usually automatically go on. No one ever goes into the engine room, uncovers multiple battery boxes and loosens the caps. Sure when you service your batteries that a good time to loosen the caps and check the electrolyte level in each and every cell.

Well go read a book to inform yourself about charging battery's the propper way.
i'm sure that if the whole marina would jump of a bridge, that you would jump as well . Right ?
stick to what ever it is that you do best , but please don't work on anybody's car, boat and specially their battery's.

Right, I will be sure to remember that. Lets see two boats, three onboard chargers, 14 batteries between the two boats and going on five years on my current battery system on my Bertram. WHATEVER DUDE.
And BTW batteries vent on there own.

whoa... take it easy makiwara boy. . Don't be so harsh. Both work fine. If you do a complete check then yeah vent it. A car recharges the battery every time I start my car up. Do you see me undoing the caps everytime I start my car? Chill.gayz:

ok brother. either way works. charging your batteries w/o venting will work. doing as suggested by the other guy will work better. in the long run i believe their wont be much of a difference unless you NEVER properly service your batteries. do it the better way occationally . most importantly .... keep the terminals clean.
