Yamaha Fuel Management Guage

Found out about this on another board but thought others here might be interested. The below link is selling the Yamaha Fuel Management guage for $349. Normally $600+ Works just like a FloScan but replaces your stock Yamaha speedometer.

Shipyard Island Marina, Inc. welcomes you!* We're a full-service Wisconsin marina offering new and used boat sales and Yamaha engines/parts and accessories.

Here is a link that explains it better

Re: Yamaha Fuel Management Guage

I have the Yamaha fule management system on my boat with twin 225 four strokes and it does not work for crapola... never read correct, I have made the dip switch adjustment in the rear of the gauge as well, the dealer just replaced the gauge as well ... still will not read correct. always reads way over what we use, for instance, guage showed we used 104 gallons, we went and filled up and the tank would only take 68 gallons, it's always 25 to 40 % over. totally discussed with my mangement system.

any help would be great.... fyi it was installed on the boat when i purchased it new in 05. and was professionaly installed by the boat dealer, who is local and seems very good.

anybaody else have these problems ... or anyone have a fix for it?????

thanks gary

Gary,i have run a 1996 saltwater series with the fuel management guage with Excellent results.

Check to make sure you are runnning OEM Yamaha parts on your fuel filter/s,,,make sure the whole system including the filter element is YAMAHA branded....PM for questions.
I have a 1996,200 hp Saltwater version,since new with plus-minus accuracy very good.Usually -1gallon .

IMHO,assuming you have OEM fuel filter housings, you need to switch filters?///!!

Hope this helps!
